Memo To All Employees is a book of poetry, essays, and plays written by Daniel X. O’Neil and designed & illustrated by Jonny Stepping. The book was published in its first and only edition of 1,000 copies on the International Day of the Worker, May 1, 1995.
The book was developed over the course of the three years after the publication of BRICKS, including the Juggernaut Poetry Tour: 1994 and a 2-month engagement at The Daily Bar & Grill in Chicago.
Over 200 review copies were sent to a wide variety of publications. Many of these review copies have ended up in an active used book trade.
All books have a number from 1-1,000 hand-stamped on the frontispiece of the book next to the printed “/1000”. Books 1-10 have been retained by Juggernaut Co.
Many books were distributed through Small Press Distribution out of Berkeley, California. These books are notated in the lower gutter of the book inside cover with “SPD” and a number from 1 – 60. All Juggernaut Co. books are still available through SPD.
Other books were distributed through Koen Book Distributors, Inc. These books are notated in the lower gutter of the book inside cover with “KO” and a number from 1 – 30. Koen is no longer a distributor of Juggernaut Co. books.
Many presentation copies of the book have turned up in the used book trade as well. Click here for a list of presentation copies reclaimed by Juggernaut. We make a happy point of reclaiming these books and get a real kick out of it. If you have any for sale or come across them in your journeys, let us know.
The book has many visual puns and easter egg-like surprises. A list of them will be published soon.
