I’m Daniel X. O’Neil, a poet, playwright, director, and performer based in Chicago. This site covers creative output as an active artist performing in Chicago and touring across the United States from 1988 to 2003.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this time I wrote and published four books<\/a> of poetry & essays. I wrote, directed, and performed in four plays<\/a> and went on five poetry performance tours<\/a> to 23 cities with three different musical accompaniment compositions. I launched the NecklacePoems line of jewelry<\/a> and produced audio<\/a> and poster<\/a> products. I also wrote essays for and was interviewed in 4 issues of Emigre Magazine<\/a>, writing about design, typography, and issues around ownership of work product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
